Lions Mane (Hericium erinaceus)
Weight: 5 pounds
Fruiting temp: 60-65F, will not fruit above 75F.
Humidity: 80 – 90%
Once the bag is cut, the block can take up to 2 weeks before pinning starts.
Lions mane grows best in humid conditions, 80-90% humidity, with good fresh air exchange (FAE) to keep the carbon dioxide level low. If it starts to look like cauliflower, it needs more fresh air!
We always use UnicornTM bags filled with hardwood sawdust and soy hull substrate hydrated to 58%, all 100% sourced and made in the USA.
They can be grown in a fruiting chamber with most Oyster mushrooms (ones that do well in cool temps) and Chestnuts.
